Just two minutes from Vinci, Leonardo's hometown and 30 minutes from Florence, in the Tuscan countryside, lies the Mazzei estate, operating since 1976. It was then that grandfather Luciano Mazzei bought a big farm house with 20 hectares of land predominantly cultivated for crops. The property is situated in the Chianti area and Mr.Mazzei could immediately see the area's great potential for the production of high quality wine. Therefore he planted 13 hectares of vineyards. And time has been on his side: Cerreto Guidi has now become a synonym for Wine Town. The farm is currently run with constant love and enthusiasm, by the third generation of the family. With 30 years of direct experience in wine-making the farm offers its products for sale, paying attention to the consumer who seeks quality.
